Traffic Controller Full-time Job

Job Description:

As a Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and coordinating the movement of vehicles and personnel within the designated area. Your role will involve implementing and enforcing traffic management plans, ensuring safety, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective traffic management plans in accordance with company policies and local regulations.

• Monitor and control the movement of vehicles and personnel to ensure safety and efficiency.

• Coordinate with various departments to align traffic management activities with overall operational goals.

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, such as cones, barriers, and signs, as needed.

• Communicate traffic flow information to drivers, pedestrians, and other stakeholders.

• Identify and address any potential traffic hazards or safety concerns.

• Maintain accurate records of traffic incidents and related information.

• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance in traffic-related situations.

• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as required.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant legislation.

• Train and supervise junior traffic controllers and support staff.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Proven experience as a Traffic Controller or similar role.

• Thorough knowledge of traffic management principles, regulations, and procedures.

• Ability to interpret traffic management plans and technical drawings.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to use traffic control devices and equipment effectively.

• Certification in traffic management or related field is an asset.
