Technical Architect Full-time Job

Infosys is seeking a Technical Architect with a strong focus on digital technologies and the ability to guide project teams in implementing technology solutions using a deep understanding of architecture, patterns and performance engineering to enable future growth of a service/application. In this role, you will actively guide teams of developers and testers during delivery. Responsibilities: Responsible for owning the end-to-end architecture of complex systems to meet functional, nonfunctional and quality goals Collaborate with various stakeholders and delivery teams to align and review technical recommendations and project blueprints Evaluate technical feasibility and estimate effort and resources for complex projects. Provide in-depth technical expertise, coaching and guidance to delivery teams and colleagues Implement code review standards for complex systems that improve code quality Drive the adoption of new technologies and architectural principles Lead troubleshooting and performance monitoring in large and complex platforms Manage dependencies and drive strategic initiatives within team as well as across functional domain groups Provide recommendations for strategic business process improvements Ensure technology alignment by enforcing Infosys, client and industry coding standards and policies Implement data integrity checks within architecture by establishing review boards Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. 10+ years of relevant IT experience. Should have 4+ years of architecting experience. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Montevideo or be willing to relocate. Preferred Qualifications: Must have skills: Good at technical problem solving Knowledge of cloud-native, microservice architectures and patterns Proficiency with databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL Knowledge on web-scale systems development experience, preferably for highly scalable distributed platforms on cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) Programming skills (Java/JavaScript) Familiar with the container ecosystem (Kubernetes/Docker) and message-broker frameworks (Kafka, MQ). Knowledge and understanding of Security protocols like oAuth, SAML Experience in Performance Engineering: profiling and detailed performance optimization of JEE and SPA (single page applications) Exposure to front end/UI frameworks and development methodologies Good understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancing, storage, etc.) Prior experience working with large systems in the payments industry Experience with Agile or Waterfall development methodologies Excellent analysis and communication skills Understanding of infrastructure as code Location: Montevideo, Uruguay.
