Logistics Officer Full-time Job

Job Description

The purpose of the Logistics Officer position is day-to-day implementation of the logistics functions responsibilities.

Generic responsibilities:

Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures at area level

Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements

Prepare and submit logistics reports and analysis

Ensure proper filing of documents

Support procurement processes and ensure its compliance with NRC standards

Support warehouse management, assets management and fleet management

Promote and share ideas for improvement in the Logistics functions

Specific responsibilities

Support in the supply chain processes from ordering to delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards and contractual agreements.

Keep track of all logistics activities and ensure that they are performed on time and efficiently.

Coordinate closely with other departments, such as programs, finance, and HR, to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Responsible for implementing warehouse management processes and ensuring proper documentation of goods received and dispatched.

Conduct regular inspections of warehouse and other logistics facilities to ensure that they are clean, secure, and well-maintained.

Ensure that all assets are properly tagged, tracked, and maintained.

Follow up on the maintenance and repairs of NRC assets and equipment.

Ensure proper documentation of fleet movement and fuel consumption.

Support in providing logistics support for NRC programs and projects, including transportation of goods and equipment, accommodation, and other logistics needs.

Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, transporters, and customs authorities, to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Participate in the development and implementation of logistics plans and strategies.
