Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities. Implements warehouse operational policies and procedures. Manages the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

Responsibilities:

Plan warehouse layout and space utilization.

Manage inventory levels.

Inspect equipment.

Oversee warehouse maintenance.

Schedule shift.

Ensure the implementation and strict adherence to the company HSE policies and procedures in all activities conducted in the area of responsibility and accountable for reporting of any HSE incident.

Receives materials/goods from various suppliers, local and foreign ensuring all the materials/goods delivered match the description, condition and quantity with those described in the document delivered with the goods.

Inspect the materials delivered to verify their conformance to the specification outlined by Quality control and the approved Purchase Order, record received quantities, code numbers etc… into logbooks or relevant systems and report any observed/ detected defects immediately.

Accurately puts away materials into correct storage location according to set down procedures (e.g. First in first out “FIFO”).

Picks customer/ production orders.

Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) following internal and legal requirement

Adheres to documented quality standards for material/ product handling, cleanliness, hygiene.

Ensures any non-conforming material/ product, once identified is clearly identified & isolated. Ensures non-conforming stock and or quarantine stock is physically secured and appropriately managed following site SOP’s

Dispatches outgoing orders to customers by ensuring all order fulfillment in term of completeness, accuracy and documentation.

Provides loading/unloading services to incoming materials to the warehouse and ensures that the delivery of goods at their delivery point.
