Oversee all aspects of farm operations, including crop cultivation, livestock management and equipment maintenance. Develop and implement farm management plans, including budgeting, resource allocation and crop rotation strategies. Supervise farm staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices, promoting sustainable farming methods and minimizing environmental impact. Monitor crop and livestock health, implementing preventive measures and treating illnesses or injuries as needed. Manage irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water usage and proper drainage. Coordinate planting, harvesting and storage activities, optimizing yields and minimizing losses. Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including crop yields, livestock inventory, equipment maintenance and financial transactions. Stay updated on agricultural technologies and innovations, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors and customers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Conduct regular inspections of farm facilities and equipment, identifying maintenance needs and coordinating repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees. Develop and manage the farm budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities for crop and livestock sales. Collaborate with agronomists, veterinarians and other agricultural professionals to obtain advice and guidance. Prepare reports on farm performance, including financial statements, crop yields and livestock production data. Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet established standards. Participate in community outreach activities to promote agriculture and food security.
