Senior Project Engineer Full-time Job

Rotation: 5/2 (Monday to Friday)

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing all engineering and construction activities on designated projects in Azerbaijan. The candidate must be capable of managing brownfield project scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

-Project Planning and Execution: Oversee all phases of project execution, from initial concept to final commissioning and handover.

-Brownfield Project Execution: Ensure that brownfield activities are executed as per bp's safe system of work for SIMOPS scope including Task Risk Assessment and management of associated site safety procedures.

-Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure optimal project outcomes.

-Budget Management: Maintain a strong focus on project finances, working within approved budgets, providing regular budget updates, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

-Schedule Adherence: Drive the project teams to deliver milestones in line with agreed-upon schedules and take proactive measures to mitigate delays.

-Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to minimize their impact on the project. Monitor and provide regular status reports of risk mitigation actions.

-Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

-Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Commit to upholding bp's high standards for health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

-Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

-Degree in Engineering.

-Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project engineering, construction management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

-Prior experience in Oil & Gas operations is essential.

-Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

-A proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.

-Proficiency in written and verbal communication.

-The ability to effectively mentor and guide a diverse team of project engineers.

-Azerbaijan citizen.

Desirable Criteria:

-Experience working with brownfield engineering.

-Experience in leading teams.

-PMP or similar professional certification.
