Sales Director - Nigeria (Based out of Lagos, Nigeria)

Our AI Generation team (www.aigeneration.ai), a venture capital and venture building division of Flapmax is focused on finding and investing in the most promising companies, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the emerging markets with disruptive ideas.

You are a Sales professional, and a strategic thinker who excels at closing new business, and is keen on expanding client relationship, retention & penetration. A true problem-solver with experience selling software products to clients in various industries with a successful record of accomplishment. Someone who isn't afraid to fail forward, learn fast, and embrace the unique challenges presented with each individual interaction and prospect.

You also have strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills with a passion to engage & assist in improving enterprise wide customer retention strategy.

As our Sales Director, you will own all things Sales-from strategies, processes, analytics to sales and partner communications, from the field team to cross-functional teams. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable taking full responsibility for revenue and all activity in our market, as well as hiring, managing, coaching, and holding accountable a field team.

What you will do:

Exceed sales objectives for our Enterprise product suite in our designated market
Help create sales team strategies; manage the full team to meet/exceed expected sales numbers.
Establish business development strategies to drive awareness
Effectively navigate across Flapmax organization, as well as client organisations
Collaborate with partners to close key deals
Analyze data, market intelligence and forecasts to translate strategic goals into action plans.
Collaborate across key stakeholders- internally and externally- for long-term value for customers and partners
Build upon established partnerships in the Flapmax partner community, and evangelise sales opportunities by identifying product value and revenue forecasts.
Continuously build deep and valuable connections with clients. Develop rapport and instill trust and integrity, ensuring client retention through follow ups and continuous contact
Present and speak publicly in larger conference venues
Forecast and report sales activities to sales operations
Track and improve Sales key performance indicators(KPIs).

Skills and Requirements

Based in Lagos, Nigeria

Experienced Sales Manager- a track record of 5-7+ years of closing new sales, and retaining client portfolio & expanding relationships. A master negotiator, strategist and critical thinker when navigating complicated deals. At least 4+ years in managing a successful sales team.
5+ years experience in related Software Solution roles, selling Enterprise Products
Solid experience selling to C-suite contacts- particularly with experience across various industry verticals, like financial institutions, retailers, or any tech sector/organization.
Bachelor's Degree is a must.
Consistent record of achieving and/or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets
Able to maintain sales KPIs, lead pipelines and communicate metrics with upper management

Proficiency in:

CRM Tools (ideally Hubspot, Zoho, Salesforce)
Customer Relationship management
Strategic negotiations
Closing strategies
