Job Title: Legal Counsel

Department: Legal Department

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Reports To: Head of Legal Department

Job Summary:

The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of legal matters. The Legal Counsel will work closely with other members of the Legal Department and other departments within the company to ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate law, contract law, intellectual property law, and regulatory compliance.

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.

- Conduct legal research and analysis.

- Advise the company on legal risks and potential liabilities.

- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and arbitration.

- Monitor and advise the company on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company's business.

- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.

- Train company employees on legal matters.

- Manage outside counsel.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

- Admission to the bar in Azerbaijan or another jurisdiction.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law.

- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property law, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent legal research and writing skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English languages.
