Job Description
PwC Nigeria is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our Finance team. As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for supporting various aspects of financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Assist with the development and implementation of financial controls.
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
Provide support to other members of the Finance team.
Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a finance or accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations is an advantage.
