JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Officer will oversee the successful planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities within the designated region (Hebron), in alignment with the program's objectives and principles.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Project Planning & Implementation:

• Conduct baseline surveys for each school according to program tools and needs

• In consultation with the Project Manager, support the program officer to contextualize the planning of program implementation to ensure the specific local cultural context of each school is taken into account

• Support the program officer to organize the appropriate workshops and sessions (training) for facilitators and provide relevant support

• Work closely with the sport facilitator, School staff and Head teachers

• Support the monitoring process through regular visits and provide action steps when required

• Maintain consistent and appropriate communication with Head Teachers, sports facilitators and Right To Play staff

• Work in close coordination and collaboration with other NGOs and CBOs in the implementation

• Submit reports as and when required

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

• Prepare and submit timely, accurate and comprehensive reports on project activities, outcomes, and challenges.

• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project performance and impact, including data collection tools and methodologies.

• Analyze data collected through monitoring activities to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for adjustments to project strategies.

• Participate in regular meetings with project staff to review project progress, discuss challenges, and develop solutions.

• Ensure proper filing and documentation of all project-related information, including reports, data sets, and correspondence.

• Support in monitoring and evaluation of training programmes and prepare reports based on findings

• Coordinate data entry of sports club members as and when needed.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

• Liaise with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project activities are aligned with local needs and priorities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with project partners, beneficiaries, and other key stakeholders through regular communication and collaboration.

• Organize and facilitate community meetings and workshops to gather feedback, share information, and promote community ownership of project activities.

• Serve as a point of contact for project-related inquiries from stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Uphold Right To Play’s Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.

• Report any suspicion or actual violation of the Safeguarding Policy and/or Code of Conduct.

• Ensure Safeguarding standards are understood, implemented and monitored in the area of responsibility.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING (Essential):

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project implementation, community development, or related fields.

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating workshops and facilitating community activities.

Skills / Attributes:

• Proven ability to manage and monitor project budgets effectively

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong report writing and presentation abilities in English & Arabic

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders

• Excellent coordination and time management abilities to effectively manage schedules, resources, and deadlines.

• Knowledge and understanding of community development principles and practices.

• Experience in planning workshops, facilitation sessions, or trainings is essential.

• Valid Driving license

Languages:

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.
