Prodigy Gold is an Australian exploration company focused on the accelerated discovery of Commercial gold deposits in the proven Tanami Gold Province. Purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to strategically plan and deliver successful near mine resource expansion as well as advancing discovery drilling across our substantial and prospective tenure holding, your efforts must achieve set KPI's for cost control and targeted resource expansion
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
• Mentoring of Geological team as well as leading development & training programs to develop geological understanding to improve on the overall geological confidence on projects across tenure
• Overall execution of the project management & data quality protocols is to Prodigy's data governance and geological information system standards, to achieve quality, timely and consistent geological outcomes
• In-depth knowledge and detailed QA/QC protocol oversight, the ability to audit procedures
• Managing resources & contractors effectively to maintain high safety standards across all operations. Demonstrate behaviour with zero tolerance toward any activity deemed to be unsafe
• Contribute significantly to the development and improvement in company Exploration procedures & reporting
• Geological modelling, geological interpretation and drill planning. Ability to oversee construction of implicit Leapfrog Geological models with team as required
• Contribute to target generation and exploration concepts on Prodigy tenure
• Assist with resource estimates. Must have significant working experience of resource estimation
• Present and communicate exploration results with clarity to Management, Exploration teams
• Assisting on evaluation and execution of exploration strategy for exploration program across area based on targets in project pipeline, exploration approvals, cultural & community liaison, and field readiness.
Qualifications & Experience
• BSc degree in Geology; an MSc or PhD is highly regarded.
• 15+ years geology experience within gold and/or base metals is required.
• Competent Person status for Resource estimation an advantage
• Experience leading geological team within active operations
• Deep geological experience with strong technical background. Experience working on Archean gold deposits a significant advantage
• Understanding and significant experience with brownfields and greenfields exploration
• Experience designing and executing exploration programs with demonstrated success at discovery or near-mine resource expansion
• Knowledgeable with government regulations in mining and exploration
