Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr (W2, Benefits Available)\nSchedule: M-F, 7:30am – 4:00pm\nLocation: Newark, DE (Onsite)\nDuration: 12-month contract (Strong possibility of extension and/or conversion to permanent)\n\nSummary:\nThe Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tasks under the supervision of the lead chemist or senior scientists. They conduct experiments, prepare samples, and analyze data to support research and development activities. Adheres to safety protocols and maintains accurate records.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n•\tAssists in setting up and conducting laboratory experiments as directed by the lead chemist or senior scientists.\n•\tPrepares samples for analysis using appropriate techniques and equipment, such as pipetting, weighing, and dilution.\n•\tOperates and maintains laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and pH meters, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.\n•\tCollects, records, and analyzes experimental data accurately and efficiently, using appropriate software and tools.\n•\tAssists in the preparation of reports, charts, and graphs summarizing experimental results.\n•\tMaintains laboratory supplies and inventory, ordering new items as needed and ensuring that materials are stored properly.\n•\tEnsures laboratory cleanliness and organization, including washing glassware, disinfecting surfaces, and disposing of waste materials according to safety guidelines.\n•\tFollows established safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and handling chemicals and hazardous materials safely.\n•\tAssists in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures and protocols.\n•\tPerforms routine quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental data.\n•\tAssists in the troubleshooting of equipment and experimental issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.\n•\tCollaborates with other laboratory staff to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the laboratory.\n•\tParticipates in training sessions and seminars to stay up-to-date on new laboratory techniques and technologies.\n•\tFollows good documentation practices to maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results.\n•\tFollows company policies to ensure all products comply with food and drug regulatory agency.\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\n•\tAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in science or technical field. Preferred: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry\n•\tEntry Level Role!
