JOB PURPOSE: The Grants Acquisition Manager will develop and lead the country office grants acquisition strategy and contribute to achieving the strategic goals. The position requires extensive technical expertise in grants writing, program design and understanding of donor strategies, priorities and compliance requirements. The Grants Acquisition Manager works with program staff, technical advisors, finance team, operations teams, and external stakeholders, and has overall responsibility to identify opportunities and build a competitive pipeline of funding prospects to support WV Kyrgyzstan's strategic objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Funding Strategy & Business Development: • Conduct market analysis and mapping of funding sources, based on the Country Strategy, to identify existing and new grant opportunities. • Coordinate go/no go decision-making based on opportunity and risk assessment in line with World Vision grant compliance policies and relevant regional office guidance and proactively make recommendations. • Stay abreast of donor priorities, strategies, and requirements at the national and global levels. • Contribute to annual resource acquisition strategic planning process. • Lead in-country partners' coordination and meetings to support program design and proposal development (including development of partnership MOUs and agreements, coordination with partner project management and technical staff). • In alignment with Partnership Resource Development Framework and Country Strategy, map strategic institutional and private sector funding opportunities within country (national/local opportunities, diaspora, in-kind contributions). Analyze, disseminate, and track such opportunities for decision making by SLT and GAM Unit. Proposal Development: • Manage and coordinate proposal development teams to produce high quality proposals aligned to donor requirements. • Conduct participatory needs assessment using the most appropriate methods to gather the necessary data to support new projects design and proposals and strengthen ongoing programs. • Design innovative programs based on needs assessment, and evidence and World Vision best practices and in close consultation with technical experts and communities. • Contribute to writing technical and management sections of grant proposals; and ensures that budgets are realistic, justifiable and aligned with technical approach.
