General Ledger Accountant (2.5K - 3K USD)

This is a fully remote opportunity with one of our clients, a market-leading provider of exterior residential services in the United States. The company has rapidly expanded across 20+ states, offering services such as gutter cleaning, pest control, lawn care, and more.

Position Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries for monthly close processes.

Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysis.

Ensure timely and accurate filing and remittance of state and local sales tax returns.

Manage data for fixed assets and lease accounting under ASC 842.

Collaborate with external auditors, providing required documentation and explanations.

Continuously review accounting processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Partner with other departments to gather information, resolve issues, and support business objectives.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

CPA (or progress toward certification) is desired but not mandatory.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Big 4 experience preferred.

Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Demonstrated enthusiasm for contributing to business growth and success.
