My client, a market leading hedge fund, are looking to add a Data Operations Analyst to their Singapore team.The hedge fund has been at the cutting edge of investment management and technology globally, and over the last 2 years has undertaken a major initiative to up-scale their data management platform. Facing off to market leading investment professionals and working directly with exceptional Data Engineers, the hire will take ownership of managing investment data operations end-to-end from initial onboarding and data reconciliation through to ensuring the delivery of high integrity market and reference data (as well as non-traditional datasets) to investment teams, allowing for trade execution. The hire will also take an active role in projects aimed at process improvements in data governance and quality management frameworks as well as play an active role in the migration to a new centralised data master.
The hire will also work with investment teams to set up listed securities as well as financial instruments. The hire will join a very lean global team which is driving upgrades in how data teams support the front office in a more direct capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data operations with exposure to a broad range of asset classes.
The candidate will have worked with market and reference data and ideally have exposure to broader investment data as part of their role. Candidates must bring a strong understanding of exchange data and data management vendors. Strong SQL skills are required (the hire will have the opportunity to build up a strong skillset using Python).This is a business-critical hire as part of a global team build out, so rather than set a base salary budget, the firm are committed to offering the successful hire a significant increase in his/her current fixed salary.
A top performer can earn a 50-100% bonus. The successful hire will receive a substantial sign-on bonus that will more than make up for any loss of earnings if resigning pre-bonus. The firm also offer an exceptional benefits package, including top level private healthcare, life insurance etc.
