The client is an AD100 firm that specializes in interior architecture and design services. The studio is currently hiring an experienced Interior Architect/Designer to lead the studio throughout current and upcoming residential design projects. The ideal candidate will bring with them a wealth of knowledge in luxury residential interior design that they use to lead a team of four designers.

The Design Director would work directly with the firm's principal designer to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion meeting timelines and budgets. Candidates must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and creative. An ideal Design Director should have a high level of knowledge in concept development, design and construction documents, and project management skills.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead a team of designers throughout all studio interior design projectsCreate and manage timelines and priorities as part of a cross-functional team and collaboratively meet tight deadlinesGenerate and discuss project ideas, moodboards and project design plans with the PrincipalOversee and take responsibility for project management of multiple projects simultaneously (timelines, objectives, outcomes)Demonstrates a highly organized and systematic approach to producing a projectComplete package of deliverables for project phasesKeeps all team members informed of status of projects and deliverablesCoordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selectionsResearch and source interior products and relevant interior finishes/materials for reviewReview and direct Senior Designer & Junior Designers in creating and updating client presentationsMaintain and manage project folders with all related drawings, specs, schedules, etc…Review quotes and shop drawingsWork closely with team to ensure all drawings and documents clearly and accurately communicate the design intentRegular meetings with team to review progress and ensure questions and concerns are addressedTroubleshoot problems and finding solutions on construction site to move project forwardFlexibility to work on multiple projects in various stages of developmentWork closely with clientsFlexibility to travelJOB QUALIFICATIONS10 plus years’ experience in interiorsHigh level drafting using AutoCAD, including space planning, schedules, details of custom furniture, lighting, etc.Fluent in French and EnglishPresentation tools including Adobe Suite and basic office software like Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of 3-D computer modeling skills (Sketch up, 3D Max, Rhino etc.) a plusKnowledge of Paris design resources - furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, vendors, artisans* Salary & benefits dependent on experiencePlease apply via LinkedIn.YOUR PORTFOLIO MUST BE UPLOADED VIA LINKEDIN OR SENT IN TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
