Job Purpose:

To contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the branch/area office by ensuring that all program activities are carried out in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as relevant donor requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the program activities in the field, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Programme Management:

Coordinate and monitor the implementation of program activities in the field, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the program plan and budget.

Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and other organizations.

Identify and address any challenges or obstacles to program implementation, escalating issues to the Program Manager as necessary.

Ensure that all program activities are carried out in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as relevant donor requirements.

Data Management and Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on program activities, including progress against targets, challenges, and lessons learned.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, including beneficiary data, financial records, and other relevant information.

Ensure that all data is collected and managed in accordance with the organization's data protection policies.

Staff Management:

Supervise and mentor field staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Conduct regular performance reviews of field staff, identifying areas for improvement and providing training and development opportunities.

Ensure that all staff members are aware of and comply with the organization's policies and procedures.

Financial Management:

Manage program budgets in accordance with the organization's financial policies and procedures.

Ensure that all expenses are properly documented and approved.

Monitor program expenditure against budget, identifying any variances and taking corrective action as needed.

Safeguarding:

Establish and maintain a safe and respectful environment for all staff, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.

Ensure that all staff members are aware of and comply with the organization's safeguarding policies and procedures.

Report any safeguarding concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.

Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, or business administration.

Experience Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-governmental organization (NGO).

Experience working with vulnerable populations.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and at least one local language.

Safeguarding

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.

Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for BRAC employees, implementing partners and communities.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of the policy in its letter and spirit.
