About the Role:

Are you a problem solver and passionate about driving strategic thinking? As a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Accounting Analyst you'll act as a critical liaison between Global Business Solutions (GBS), Operations, and financial business units.

You'll work with all organizational levels across functions by providing insight, financial planning/budgeting support, reporting and analysis.

The role also offers broad opportunities to gain valuable knowledge of operational processes.

This opportunity involves financial statement responsibilities, analysis and business processes requiring communication, initiative and sound judgement. Strong data analytics capabilities and understanding of automation are highly desirable, along with excellent communication skills (verbal & written) needed to ensure comprehension of issues, ideas, and solutions.

This role offers broad opportunities to gain valuable knowledge of global finance as well as internal processes in shared service centers. This person must have excellent analytical capabilities and communications skills as it is vital that they partner with cross-functional stakeholders. In this role, you will assist GBS leadership with daily, monthly and annual support as requested.

What You’ll Do

Preparation of recurring and ad-hoc reporting.

Provide assistance in the overall reporting for leadership.

Assist in month-end close by providing analytics, researching, and explaining significant variances between actual versus forecast results.

Develop process improvements and improve current reports using more efficient methods to ensure accurate information.

Help prepare data for leadership and decision-making, as needed.

Work with internal groups/stakeholders to get data required for analysis.

Manage time appropriately by adhering to strict deadlines and prioritize in the ever-changing workload.

Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and embrace changes and demonstrate strategic thinking by analyzing business situations.

Understand the importance of communicating project challenges early and effectively. Assist other staff when vital to achieve group/departmental goals. Mentor colleagues, as requested.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting/Finance or related area.

1-3 years accounting or finance related experience

Solid communication skills (verbal and written) for collaboration and effective information relay.

Well-developed problem solving and analytical abilities; capable of crafting well thought out arguments and documenting findings/recommendations

Detailed knowledge of accounting processes.

Strong leadership & interpersonal skills with proven abilities to thrive in a cross-functional and multi-location organization

Adaptable; with a shown ability to work effectively within ambiguity or changing priorities.

Technical Requirements

Understanding of Microsoft tools like Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables and spreadsheet knowledge) , Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power Point and related analytics tools to solve complicated accounting matters, develop reports and summaries, etc.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience with SAP and BI Analytics

Knowledge of general ledger accounting. (Accounting experience is very valuable)
