The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) manages and protects the Nation's public lands and minerals, national parks, and wildlife refuges and conserves the Nation's natural, cultural, and heritage resources. DOI provides scientific and other information about those resources and honors the Nation's trust responsibilities or special commitments to American Indians, Alaska Natives, and affiliated Island Communities.
