About the job:
You will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the NATO Integrated Mission Services Centre (NIMSC), which provides NATO and its partners with scalable, protected, secure, reliable and integrated Wireless Communication-based Services focused on NATO Operations, Crisis Response, Missions, Exercises and Business Continuity. The NIMSC Chief is responsible for planning and executing lifecycle management activities for these services.
This position is based in Braine L'Alleud, Belgium.
This is a temporary location pending completion of the new SHAPE facility at Camp Casteau in Mons. The Braine L’Alleud site is expected to close by end 2027, with future duty stations shifting to Brussels or Mons, depending on function and business needs.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Support Officer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
Contribute to strategic planning by supporting policy development, planning processes, reporting and stakeholder awareness.
Provide specialist advice within defined areas, collaborating with other experts to ensure organisational alignment.
Manage stakeholder relationships by addressing issues, capturing lessons learned and supporting customer engagement.
Coordinate business administration activities, including cross-functional initiatives, executive-level meetings, agendas and follow-up actions.
Oversee office administration functions, workflows and best practices, recommending improvements based on observed performance.
Additional duties for this post:
Monitor project and service KPIs; prepare analytical reports for the Business Unit Owner.
Support Project Managers in tracking delivery progress, resource use and budget alignment.
Coordinate reporting and communications across BU and Business Area management.
Consolidate ServiceNow and EBA statistical reports and track submissions.
Align resource planning with the NIMSC RPMO.
Monitor the SA fund execution and produce reports and statistical analyses.
Act as interface between the BU and NIMSC Front Office.
Coordinate recruitment and contracting actions with the Staff Management Office.
Support the production of weekly, monthly and quarterly NIMSC project and service situation reports.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 2-years post-related experience. Or, exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 6-years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.
Experience presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and editing reports, briefs or policies.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
