The position is responsible for leading, executing and delivering general accounting requirements, specifically Revenue accounting related tasks and compliance with US GAAP requirements. Responsibilities include assisting with general ledger maintenance activities, analysis, reconciliation, intercompany accounting and reconciliations, executing RTR SOX controls, supporting financial and operational audits, collaborating with team to optimize efficiencies, and assisting with implementing continuous improvements through automation and robotics.This role reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager. Work Environment This role is open to remote, hybrid, or onsite work location and is eligible for sign-on bonus up to $5,000 depending on experience level. Primary Responsibilities: Assists with monthly accounting close procedures and ensures proper reporting. Completes complex revenue reconciliations and analysis. Leads the completion of the Revenue Close Package for accuracy. Recommends, implements, and documents revenue accounting procedures to ensure compliance with policies, processes, internal controls, and US GAAP. Collaborates across accounting functions to promote standardization, implement innovative and strategic solutions. Acts as the business partner and collaborates effectively across groups including Program Finance and Tax. Leads special projects and system implementation. Assists with SOX internal controls design, documentation and implementation. Participates in various meetings as required. Assist with support of internal and external audit requests and resolve issues on timely basis. Upholds the highest standards of integrity and ensures business is conducted ethically and with full transparency. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience. Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, Revenue Accounting concepts and processes. Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with SOX, and understanding of Accounting controls. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. Experience working in a large multi-national manufacturing company. Prior experience with Government contract accounting. CPA/CMA Certification Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, PRISM) Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful reports and commentary. Problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Understanding of compliance requirements related to Government and/or commercial customer contracts Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and sometimes ambiguous Revenue accounting issues. Leadership/teamwork experience Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Experience leading continuous improvement projects Ability to lead projects involving cross functional teams Experience in accounting process and procedure design Experience preparing reports, including summary charts and graphs RTX Compensation: Salary: $99,700 - $215,400. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
