As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll make an impact by:

providing financial accounting and statutory reporting services for the Group including the preparation of the audited annual report

coordinating and completing supporting disclosures for Group and Bank financial statements

Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors ensuring compliance obligations are adhered to

reviewing of subsidiary financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and consistency across the Group (where appropriate) and providing technical support to others across the team

displaying a positive team attitude and willingness to assist others within the team/division as required, ensuring we meet all deliverable timeframes

drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and the automation of financial processes

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in the office.

What you’ll bring to the role

Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or related discipline

Current membership in a related professional accounting body (e.g. ICAANZ, CPA)

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations relating to statutory reporting including the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A high level of problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organisational skills

Effective two-way communicator, keeping others informed whilst asking questions to understand overall business unit needs

A passion for continuous improvement, ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing demands is an essential component of the role

Arithmetical, data analysis and advanced excel skills

Previous experience in statutory reporting in a listed organisation
