Senior Android Engineer (f/m/d) Full-time Job

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our Rider team! In this role, you will develop and maintain our FREE NOW Rider App, used by millions of passengers across Europe. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the architecture and technical direction of our Android platform.

Your daily adventures:

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in Kotlin.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers.

Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of our Android platform.

Mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge and expertise.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development.

Take ownership of features and drive them from conception to launch.

To be successful in this role:

5+ years of experience in Android development.

Strong understanding of Android architecture and design principles.

Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and the Android SDK.

Experience with common Android libraries and frameworks (e.g. Retrofit, RxJava, Dagger).

Experience with automated testing (e.g. unit tests, integration tests, UI tests).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Fluency in English.

Nice to have:

Experience with Jetpack Compose.

Experience with architectural patterns like MVVM or MVI.

Experience with performance optimization techniques.

Experience with A/B testing.

Experience with analytics and monitoring tools.
