Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager Full-time Job

Job Description:

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a motivated and experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to lead our 24x7 security operations team. As the SOC Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the SOC's daily operations, including incident detection, analysis, response, and prevention. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's assets and data.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of security analysts, incident responders, and threat intelligence specialists, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.

Oversee the daily operations of the SOC, including monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, and coordinating response efforts.

Develop and maintain security incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks.

Ensure the SOC operates in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR).

Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.

Collaborate with other IT teams to implement security controls and improve the organization's overall security posture.

Develop and maintain security metrics and reports to track SOC performance and identify areas for improvement.

Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and provide recommendations for enhancing the SOC's capabilities.

Manage the SOC's budget and resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of assets.

Act as a point of contact for security incidents and escalations, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

Proven experience in leading and managing a Security Operations Center (SOC).

Strong understanding of security concepts, technologies, and best practices.

Experience with security incident detection, analysis, and response.

Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations or a related role.
