Job Position Summary

The Sales Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the sales strategy to achieve the hotel's revenue goals. This role is pivotal in leading the sales team to maximize business growth, ensuring both revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will be a confident, results-driven leader with an international mindset, capable of managing a wide range of sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Performance:

  • Achieve revenue goals by developing and executing effective sales plans.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the hotel's annual budget, marketing, and financial plans.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase occupancy, average rates, and overall sales.
  • Regularly review market trends and sales forecasts, adjusting strategies to ensure targets are met.
  • Organize special sales events, campaigns, and trade shows to drive new business.

Sales Team Leadership:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the sales team by setting clear objectives and providing guidance and support.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, offering coaching, mentoring, and feedback to maximize team potential.
  • Recruit and train a talented sales team, ensuring they are equipped to meet ambitious revenue goals.
  • Build strong internal relationships with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Guest & Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate and group bookings.
  • Enhance guest experiences by providing key information on services, loyalty programs, and local attractions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate large group events and ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Lead efforts to upsell services and amenities, increasing revenue while enhancing guest satisfaction.

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Continuously monitor and analyze sales performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize strategies.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, fostering relationships and driving new business opportunities.
  • Leverage both online and offline sales channels to reach targeted markets and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with local business leaders and community groups to elevate the hotel’s profile.

Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility:

  • Promote the hotel's commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices, integrating them into sales strategies.
  • Engage in initiatives that support local culture and community, enhancing the hotel’s image as a socially responsible entity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hotel sales management, with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
  • Strong understanding of local market trends and business development.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); additional languages are an asset.
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM tools, including Opera PMS.
