The Remote Pharmacy Services Director is responsible for fostering and enhancing an environment and culture that enables remote pharmacy services to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals. The Remote Pharmacy Services Director is responsible for the overall remote operations including: scheduling, conducting continuous assessment and implementation of process improvements that will enhance the remote pharmacy services performance, and providing remote pharmaceutical care. The Pharmacy Director Remote Services supports and conveys the organization's mission to all staff, holds staff accountable for performance, motivates and develops staff to improve performance and is an effective leader. The Pharmacy Director Remote Services maintains relationships with the Directors of Pharmacy of each hospital served and the Regional Director of Pharmacy to ensure that hospital needs are met.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

License or Certification:

  • Pharmacy license in good standing in a minimum of one state, including all states where licensure to provide remote services is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or one that is determined to be substantially equivalent to a U.S. accredited program by an appropriate certifying agency.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Machines, Equipment Used:

  • General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
  • Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
  • Ability to lift lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Oral communication, written communication, active listening. Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking.
  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment.
  • Handicapped accessible.
  • May work under stressful circumstances at times.

Proficiency or Productivity Standards:

  • Has regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Adheres to dress code including wearing ID badge.
  • Adheres to Standards of Business Conduct.
  • May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed to meet deadlines.
  • May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
