Committed to unlocking the potential of every child, the IWS Children’s Clinic is a full-service primary care clinic, operating in a brand-new facility, which provides quality, affordable medical, dental, and behavioral child health care services, for children in need from infancy through age 18. Owned and supported by the OPRF Infant Welfare Society.

POSITION: CLINIC DIRECTOR

TIME: Full-Time

BASIC FUNCTION: To direct the day-to-day and long-term operations of the clinic

REPORTS TO: Executive Director, OPRF Infant Welfare Society

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall efficient and effective operations of the Children’s Clinic, including ensuring compliance with all regulatory and credentialing requirements. Serves as the administrative manager of all clinical employees. Serves as a member of the OPRF IWS staff leadership team.

  • Clinic Administration
  • Directs day-to-day operations of the OPRF IWS Children’s Clinic.
  • Oversees clinic staffing schedule.
  • Recruits hires, supervises, and evaluates Children’s Clinic support staff in conjunction with the medical director, oral health director, and office manager, ensuring accurate completion and retention of new hire documentation and other HR duties.
  • Oversees Clinic performance improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinates with MCOs and insurance providers regarding contracts, portals, HEDIS, and credentialing.
  • Collaborates with the medical director and oral health director to develop, review and revise clinic standards including standing orders, emergency procedures, protocols, medical/dental/front staff policies and procedures, patient education materials, and clinic manuals.
  • Ensures the timely capture, analysis, and reporting of clinic effectiveness, compliance, safety, quality assurance/improvement, and productivity/scheduling.

  • Ensures compliance with all appropriate federal, state, and local regulations such as HIPAA, and OSHA and ensures the completion of annual staff training requirements.
  • Facilities Management
  • Coordinates with property management, maintenance, and janitorial services to ensure a clean and functional environment including housekeeping oversight of
  • Manages the assignment and collection of clinic keys.
  • Supports oral health and medical director in the acquisition, maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment as needed.
  • Order supplies for departments and office as needed.
  • Planning and Clinical Program Development
  • Participates in short and long-range planning related to the delivery of services, facility maintenance and/or expansion, capital equipment, new projects, and inter-agency partnerships.
  • Collaborates with medical and oral health directors in identifying, proposing, and implementing best practices in patient relations and optimal patient experience strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as nursing, public health, health administration, etc. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years administrative experience in health care organizations.
  • Vision and commitment to the goal of serving the health needs of under-served children
  • Ability to establish good working relationships.

Hours: This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.In addition to working during clinic hours, the Clinic Director is expected to be periodically available to meet after hours to attend relevant meetings and arrange the needs of the clinic.
