MyanmarProgramme Manager Myanmar SittweOrganizationNorwegian Refugee CouncilPosted 5 Nov 2025 Closing date 20 Nov 2025An exciting opportunity to head up the NRC’s Area Programme Manager (APM) Myanmar.What We Are Looking ForThe Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and dynamic Area Programme Manager (APM) Myanmar**.**More About The Role.The Area Programme Manager (APM) is responsible for implementing integrated programmes and represent NRC at coordination forums, as delegated from Area Manager as well as programming and advocacy in Rakhine State and ensuring that NRC and its partners achieve its programmatic objectives. As such, s/he is responsible for overseeing project implementation in Rakhine State, and for taking a leading role in developing strategy and programme development for the Country Office.The APM is line managed by the Area Manager and is a member of the Area Management Team (AMT) and part of the extended Country Management Group. In addition, the APM has a technical (dotted) reporting line to the Head of Programme (HoP)and is a member of the Country Office (CO) Programme Unit (PU).What You Will DoLine management for CC project managersCompliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and proceduresResponsible for ensuring programme support to integrated programme, coordination and technical quality in Area officeProvide area specific input relevant for CC strategiesCompliance to donor standards, and grant management and regular reporting to donor in AreaIdentify funding opportunities and develop funding strategy and forecastsResponsible for grants management and BPO allocations in AreaPlease download thedetailed job description to learn more about the position.What You Will BringMinimum 4 years’ experience from a management position in a humanitarian/ recovery contextExperience from working in complex and volatile contextsCore competency expertiseDocumented results related to the position’s responsibilitiesKnowledge about own leadership skills/profileFluency in English, both written and verbalWhat We OfferDuty station: Sittwe.
