We’re looking for an Assistant with exceptional attention to detail, proactive nature, a desire to 'get stuck in' and a willingness to learn new skills. You will be working in the award-winning Campaigns & Marketing team within the ABI’s Corporate Affairs Directorate. The primary purpose of the role is to support the team with the successful execution and delivery of the ABI’s campaigns and marketing activities. This dynamic and fast-paced role encompasses a broad spectrum of workstreams, including brand and marketing projects, through to social media content and campaigns, and updating our website.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone with a passion for campaigns and marketing, who wishes to build and develop their skills within a diverse and influential industry.

We welcome people who are new to insurance (most of us were when we joined!) – as well as those with experience.

What’s the job?

Digital

• Work with the Digital Campaigns Manager to ensure the social media content calendar is up to date and create new assets for social posts

• Create and own elements of digital marketing such as the email signature plan, reports and research

• Assist with the day-to-day administration of the website, including uploading content and ensuring it’s up to date

• Manage updates to the Campaigns and Marketing area of the ABI Intranet.

Marketing

• Support the delivery of the ABI’s flagship communications, including Mid-Year and Annual Review, gathering content, working closely with the Marketing and Brand Manager and colleagues across the organisation to collate copy, edit content and ensure production deadlines are met

• Working with colleagues in the corporate affairs and events team to develop and deliver brand content, including event branding, member communications and external marketing materials

• Support the team in agency and supplier management, including briefing in design work, helping coordinate photographers and videographers.

Campaigns

• Provide day-to-day support to help successfully develop and deliver impactful campaigns

• Compile reports to help analyse campaign and marketing activity success and suggest ways to improve future campaigns.

What skills do you need?

• A keen interest and good basic knowledge of marketing and social media

• A desire to learn about the insurance industry

• High-level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels

• Creative thinking with a curious, inquisitive nature

• Proactive, organised and self-motivated to manage workload and meet agreed deadlines

• An ability to work collaboratively and to contribute to the wider work of the ABI, a premium is placed on an open and friendly personality.
