We are looking for a Manager, HR Business Partner to join our growing HR team and partner with leaders and employees within our Technology organization, which comprises of a subset of Engineering teams across our Corporate and Studio Technology portfolio. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, HRBP and provide strategic HR business partner support to assigned client groups. In this role, it will be important for you to be able to partner across the HR team (compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations) and work closely with business stakeholders to support and guide the team in all key areas of the employee lifecycle (performance management, career growth, compensation planning, etc). In this role you will:

Serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees on a variety of HR-related topics. Act as a consultant and advisor on HR policies, programs, and initiatives; offer insight and solutions in the areas of organizational effectiveness, strategic workforce planning, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and career development.

Proactively support the delivery of HR processes. Identify opportunities for efficiencies, optimization, and ensure processes are aligned with the needs of the business.

Effectively use data and analytics to influence decisions and inform client groups.

Advise and assist management with the handling of employee relations matters, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed and escalate complex employee relations issues to Legal or ER as appropriate.

Work closely with HR functional teams, (e.g. compensation, talent acquisition) to deliver value-added service to management and employees. You thrive working with your HR colleagues to support employees!

Coach and guide managers through their career, employee relations, compensation and performance management activities.

Partner with cross-functional groups and subject matter experts to design and execute talent management strategies, programs, and processes that support business strategies and foster employee growth and development.

Understand organizational dynamics, develop change management plans and communication strategies to optimize results. Proactively navigate ambiguous situations and be able to quickly discern practical next steps to make progress. Embrace opportunities where there is not necessarily an existing process and/or solution.

Possess strong knowledge and expertise on local employment laws in the State of California and remain current with changing regulatory trends that impact compliance across the state, and across other areas (such as immigration).

Collaborate and drive projects, programs, and initiatives that focus on team health and build culture. Assist leaders in cultivating a culture of trust and continuous improvement within the organization. Understand where existing team culture may require reinvention given Netflix culture shifts.

Leverage employee data to propose employee and manager resources to leadership teams, as needed.
