Job Purpose:

The HSE Specialist provides support and guidance on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and BP's global standards. The role involves actively promoting a strong HSE culture across all operations.

Key Accountabilities:

Support the implementation and maintenance of BP's HSE management system.

Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Provide HSE training to employees and contractors.

Monitor and analyze HSE performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.

Liaise with regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders on HSE matters.

Develop and implement HSE programs and initiatives.

Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety).

Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

Knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification.

Experience with incident investigation techniques.

Knowledge of risk management principles.

Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
