Head of Marketing & Communications
Count Group is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing & Communications to lead and elevate our brand, marketing and communications strategy across our wealth, equity and services portfolio.
This is a senior leadership role for a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves. You will shape the group’s brand narrative, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and drive growth through compelling, integrated marketing and communications initiatives.
Based full-time in our Sydney office, you will lead a team of four and sit on the Group Leadership Team (top 20 leaders across Count), partnering closely with the CEO, Board and Executive Leadership Team.
The Opportunity:
As Head of Marketing & Communications, you will:
Own and deliver the group-wide brand, marketing and communications strategy.
Lead corporate communications, PR, investor and ASX communications.
Build the public profile of Count and its senior leaders through strategic media and thought leadership.
Deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, content, events and partner channels.
Champion a customer-centric mindset and elevate adviser, partner and community experiences.
Leverage AI-enabled marketing and communications tools to optimise workflows, insights, content and performance.
Lead and develop a high-performing, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Marketing, Communications & PR
Lead all ASX and investor communications, ensuring accurate and timely disclosures.
Oversee half-year and full-year results communications, including media releases, investor presentations and annual report inputs.
Drive proactive PR and media engagement to enhance Count’s public profile.
Manage media relations, crisis communications preparedness and industry recognition programs.
Oversee internal, partner and external communications to support a strong employee value proposition.
Build trusted relationships with media, analysts, influencers and industry stakeholders.
Leadership & Strategy
Contribute at Group Leadership level to strategic initiatives and growth priorities.
Champion brand consistency, quality and customer experience across the organisation.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a strong performance culture.
Promote innovation and AI-driven practices across marketing and communications.
Brand, Marketing & Events
Own the group brand strategy and multi-brand architecture.
Deliver integrated marketing campaigns and track brand and campaign performance.
Lead event marketing strategies for learning programs, conferences and industry events.
Achieve revenue, engagement and participation targets through targeted, data-driven campaigns.
Collaboration & Governance
Partner with senior leaders across Wealth, Services, Equity, M&A, Sales and Legal.
Review and improve processes to enhance efficiency, manage risk and unlock growth.
About You
You are a senior marketing and communications leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for building brands that deliver real business impact. You are confident operating at executive level, thrive in complex, multi-brand environments, and enjoy balancing strategy with execution.
You will bring:
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
Strong brand stewardship and creative judgement.
Proven experience in PR, corporate and investor communications.
A data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making.
Advanced capability in using AI tools to enhance marketing effectiveness, insights and operational efficiency.
A proactive, outcomes-focused mindset.
Qualifications & Experience:
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Economics or Business.
10+ years’ experience in senior marketing and communications roles.
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
Experience with ASX or investor-related communications.
Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-brand portfolios.
Desirable
Postgraduate qualifications (MBA, Marketing or Communications).
Experience in financial services, wealth management, accounting or professional services.
Exposure to marketing automation, CRM and analytics platforms.
Membership of marketing associations or peer groups.
