General Laborer Full-time Job

Position Overview And Primary Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions) PSNS Yokosuka Detachment General Laborer . The Contractor shall provide general labor and tooling to support such task as uncrating boxes, assembling/disassembling, and installing/removing furniture, hanging of clocks and white boards, removing stickers and delivering product requests to include but not limited to shredder oil, material orders to all PSNS areas. The Contractor shall provide laborer assistance to shop 86 detachments by performing routine trade and task operations to include but not limited to setting up, removal, layout, material handling, maintenance, and cleaning of material. The Contractor shall clean work areas and spaces, including but not limited to, shops, barge spaces, warehouses, and PSNS industrial area (enclave). The Contractor may be required to use a variety hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, crowbars, and cordless drills) when performing these tasks. The Contractor may clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools. Work requires safely lifting and carrying equipment/materials up to 50lbs or more and may occasionally lift and carry weights exceeding this amount. The Contractor must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions to perform simple, routine tasks independently.
