Job Description
The purpose of the Education Project Officer position is day-to-day implementation of the Education projects in accordance with the work plan.
Generic responsibilities:
Implement delegated Education project portfolio in line with proposal, strategy and donor requirements
Ensure compliance with NRC policies, Education Core Competency tools, handbooks, and guidelines
Responsible for data collection and the compilation of data for the Education Core Competency
Ensure proper filing of documents
Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
Promote and ensure community participation and ownership in the implementation of Education activities
Support capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
Specific responsibilities:
Implement the Education Project activities at the field level (Training, Awareness raising, and sensitization).
Develop the weekly and monthly work plans based on the Project implementation plan.
Carry out awareness raising and sensitization sessions on child protection issues.
Monitor project implementation and flag challenges to the Project Coordinator.
Participate in needs assessments, baseline studies, and project evaluations.
