Arthur have partnered with a growing specialty insurer, headquartered in Bermuda, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Chief Risk Officer to lead the development and implementation of a robust enterprise risk management framework.About the RoleAs Chief Risk Officer, you will report directly to the executive leadership and play a critical role in shaping the risk culture and risk appetite of the business. You will lead the design and execution of risk policies and procedures across all operational and strategic areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with the company’s growth objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, lead, and continuously enhance the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.Provide expert risk oversight and challenge across underwriting, investment, operational, and emerging risk areas.Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, contributing to corporate strategy with a focus on risk mitigation and resilience.Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies regarding risk matters, including Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) interactions.Lead a small, high-impact risk team and collaborate with functions across the organisation.Qualifications.Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in Bermuda or similar international insurance jurisdictions.Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Relevant qualifications in risk management, actuarial science, finance, or related fields preferredIf you wish to learn more about this opportunity then please reach out to as@arthur.co.uk for a confidential discussion.
