You’ll work with Power BI and SQL to turn data into insights, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with business needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, data visualization, and collaborating across departments.*Please note, this is a 1 year term role*Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, clean, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistencyDevelop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor key business metrics and support data-driven decision-makingIdentify trends, patterns, and insights that help guide business strategy and performance improvementWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for reporting and analysisCollaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate business needs into effective analytical solutionsSupport data quality, governance, and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting reliability and efficiencyQualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analyticsProficiency in Power BI, including report creation and dashboard designStrong knowledge of MS SQL Server and SQL query developmentFamiliarity with data visualization and data modeling concepts, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailEffective communication and collaboration skills for working with both technical and non-technical usersAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAsset: Certification such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate; experience with Excel, cloud BI platformAsset: ETL tools and processes, data ingestion, and architectureAvenir Energy is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
