Director of Engineering Full-time Job

Director of Engineering – US Healthcare Domain Global IT is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the technology division for one of our prestigious US-based clients in the healthcare domain. This is a unique opportunity to build, mentor, and guide a high-performing engineering team working on products that are transforming healthcare delivery across the United States.Key Responsibilities:Lead, inspire, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions.Collaborate closely with US stakeholders and product leadership to define technical vision, strategy, and execution roadmap.Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring adherence to best practices, quality, and scalability.Drive architectural decisions, technical design, and system improvements to meet healthcare-grade performance and security standards (HIPAA, HL7, etc.).Establish and nurture a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and accountability.Ensure effective communication between Kathmandu and US teams, maintaining alignment on goals and priorities.Requirements:8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.Proven track record of leading large-scale engineering teams or projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong experience in backend or full-stack development, with exposure to modern technologies (e.g., Node.js, React, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, etc.).Deep understanding of US healthcare systems, regulations, and interoperability standards (FHIR, HIPAA, EHR/EMR integrations) is highly preferred.Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
