Job Overview

The E3D Model Clean-Up Specialist is responsible for reviewing and cleaning existing 3D models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the latest design specifications and operational requirements. The specialist will identify and rectify inconsistencies, reconcile models with relevant data, and ensure the models meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze existing 3D models for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with design specifications.
  • Identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies in the models.
  • Reconcile 3D models with laser scan data, removing obsolete elements and incorporating missing components.
  • Align model tag numbers with the applicable numbering systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper integration of models with other engineering components.
  • Ensure that all model updates and changes meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Document and report all changes made to the models.
  • Work with project management teams to meet deadlines and project goals.

Skills, Qualifications And Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling software, preferably in industrial or engineering sectors.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, with the ability to identify and correct errors in large-scale models.
  • Familiarity with laser scanning data and relevant reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of model tagging and numbering systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage complex data.
