Through realistic scenarios involving surveillance, counterintelligence, and covert operations, participants learn and apply elements of traditional tradecraft in a controlled, narrative-driven environment.

Experiences may include agent recruitment, covert communications, dead drops, surveillance detection, and mission briefings delivered through mobile gameplay, QR codes, and live interaction. Role Description

Spy Nation is seeking On-Site Actors to support live-action espionage simulations in Ottawa, Ontario.

Actors will portray intelligence operatives, handlers, assets, or adversaries within scripted and semi-improvised mission scenarios. This role requires direct engagement with participants, adaptability in dynamic environments, and the ability to maintain immersion while ensuring a safe, positive experience.

Actors will collaborate closely with operations staff and other performers to deliver cohesive, high-quality mission experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scripted and improvisational roles during live espionage simulations

Engage participants in character while guiding mission progression

Adapt performances in real time based on participant decisions

Maintain immersion while adhering to safety, conduct, and operational guidelines

Work collaboratively with fellow actors and mission coordinators

Assist with mission setup, transitions, and debriefs as required

Qualifications

Background in acting, theatre, drama, or performance arts

Strong improvisational skills and comfort with audience interaction

Ability to take direction and adapt quickly to changing scenarios

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working outdoors and moving between urban locations

Interest in espionage, storytelling, gaming, or immersive experiences is an asset

Experience in film, music, or live production is a plus

Additional Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older

Available for on-site work in Ottawa, ON

Flexible availability, including evenings or weekends as needed

Ability to remain in character while prioritizing participant safety

Background check may be required depending on role and location
