The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for a variety of accounting and clerical tasks related to the processing of accounts payable invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices, including matching invoices to purchase orders, verifying accuracy, and obtaining necessary approvals.
Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, electronic payments, and wire transfers.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files.
Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Provide support to other members of the accounting team as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
