Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Web Tester to join our team for a contract position in Montevideo, Uruguay. As a Web Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our web-based applications through thorough testing and validation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of web applications across various browsers and devices.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback on testability of new features.
- Conduct usability testing to evaluate the user experience of web applications.
- Assist in the automation of testing processes and the maintenance of automated test suites.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web testing methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Web Tester or similar role, with a focus on manual testing.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP.
- Familiarity with web testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Experience with bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and testing techniques is desirable.
- Ability to read the flow of a java script, review data tables, front end knowledge with HTML. Good knowledge and skill in Testing methodologies and tool
- Ability to identify regression for functional and user interface flows.
