The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to representing the interests of cooperative electric utilities and the consumers they serve. With nearly 900 cooperative electric utilities, NRECA represents 42 million consumers of electricity in 47 states. NRECA provides national leadership in advocating cooperative business model; educating and informing members, policymakers and the public; and ensuring cooperative standards and safeguarding cooperative values.
