Join Our Team at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while using technical expertise to deliver high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging?At Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre (BCHC), we are seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with expertise in breast imaging to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this position, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to produce accurate and reliable diagnostic images, while ensuring the highest standard of patient care. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Key Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physical orders and protocolsCapture and evaluate ultrasound image quality, making technical adjustments as necessary.Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided procedures, including biopsies.Assess patients, review comprehensive clinical histories and evaluate prior imaging to tailor examinations appropriately.Accurately document patient information and imaging data, maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.Provide reassurance and compassionate care to patients throughout their visit.Contribute to quality control programs and report any equipment issues promptly.

Adhere to all relevant health, safety and ultrasound safety standards to safeguard patients, colleagues, and self. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure coordinated, safe, patient-centred care.Support the smooth operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department as requiredAttend various meetings as required.Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.Three (3) years of previous ultrasound experience; breast imaging preferred.Valid professional registration/licensure.In-depth knowledge of breast anatomy, common conditions and imaging protocols.Expertise in patient positioning techniques, ensuring safety and accurate imaging.Proficient in the operation and optimisation of ultrasound equipment.Proven ability to perform high-quality imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.Professional, able to work effectively with diverse patients and colleagues.Exceptional organisational and time management skills.Strong technical acumen and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Detail-oriented, adaptable and committed to continuous learning.Why Join Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre:At Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, you will be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing world-class cancer care in Bermuda.
