Trade Yard Supervisor Full-time Job

Mitre 10 is part of New Zealand’s DIY DNA, as one of New Zealand’s most trusted home improvement brand, and we are opening a new store in Wellington Central.We are looking for a Trade Yard Supervisor who has strong leadership experience of 2 years plus with big box experience and have an interest or knowledge in the building industry, can deliver exceptional customer service both to our DIY customers and to our Tradies. You will have a willingness to learn building products, materials and their applications to assist our Trade and DIY customers. As well as understanding the importance of providing outstanding customer service each and every time to all our customers no matter what their background might be.

Our ideal Trade Yard Supervisor to lead the team will have:A passion for excellence customer serviceHave strong leadership skillsIs physically fit and able to do heavy lifting to support the teamHave excellent communication skills and organizational skillsThe ability to motivate, coach and empower the team to perform at their bestReporting and analytical skillsPrevious retail experience and/or experience within the building industry will be viewed very favourably. To be considered for this role you will need to have a full current drivers license, plus a ‘F’ endorsement would be an advantage, but not essential as Forklift training will be given.This is a full-time role with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including one weekend day.
