The Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (CIMPA) is a UNESCO category 2 centre whose aim is to promote mathematics and science in developing countries. CIMPA is a non-profit organization created in 1978. Since January 2011, CIMPA is a UNESCO center under the patronage of France, Switzerland, Spain, and Norway.
