TECHNICAL DRAUGHTSMAN / DESIGNER SHEET METAL Full-time Job

Top Cut Engineering is a growing precision engineering company based in Bellville, Cape Town. We specialise in laser cutting, CNC bending, CNC punching, and full sheet metal fabrication — from concept to finished product.

We’re looking for an energetic and skilled Technical Draughtsman/Designer to join our team. If you have a passion for sheet metal design, production, and problem-solving, this is the place for you.

Responsibilities:

• Create accurate technical drawings and 3D models for sheet metal components and assemblies

• Work closely with customers.

• Work closely with production to ensure designs are practical and efficient

• Assist with product development and prototyping

• Optimise designs for manufacturing and cost efficiency

Requirements:

• Experience in technical drawing/design (SolidWorks or similar CAD software preferred)

• Good understanding of sheet metal processes (laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, etc.)

• Knowledge of different steel types and materials

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
