Our solution validates every step of complex maintenance procedures, reducing errors, downtime, and costs while ensuring regulatory compliance.We are pre-revenue with active pilot programs and are seeking a technical co-founder who can build, ship, and scale our product from pilot to enterprise-grade SaaS platform.THE ROLEWe are seeking a Co-Founder & CTO who will be the technical leader responsible for architecting, building, and scaling our AI-powered AR platform. This is not a research role - you will be building production software that ships to customers. You will work alongside the founder/CEO to define technical strategy, make critical architecture decisions, and lead the engineering team as we grow.This is a co-founder position with equity and the opportunity to shape the company's technical direction from the ground up.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Technical Leadership & Architecture (40%)- Architect scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS platform for aviation MRO- Make critical technology stack decisions (Python, cloud infrastructure, AR/XR integration)- Design multi-tenant architecture with security and compliance built-in- Establish development practices, code quality standards, and technical culture- Balance technical perfection with startup speed and resource constraints2. AI/ML Development & Integration (30%)- Build production-ready AI/ML systems (not just prototypes or research)- Integrate LLMs, multi-modal agents, and computer vision into product- Develop contextual validation and guidance systems- Optimize models for production (latency, accuracy, cost)- Implement AI governance, explainability, and safety guardrails3. Product Development & Shipping (20%)- Lead development of core product features and AR interfaces- Ship production software on aggressive timelines- Iterate quickly based on pilot feedback and customer needs- Build APIs, integrations, and developer tools- Ensure product quality, reliability, and user experience4. Team Building & Leadership (10%)- Hire and lead engineering team as company scales- Mentor developers and establish technical best practices- Build diverse, high-performing engineering culture- Collaborate with CEO on technical strategy and product roadmapREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS1. Strong Python Portfolio- Demonstrable Python production code (GitHub, portfolio, code samples)- Experience building production Python applications (not just Jupyter notebooks)- Understanding of Python best practices, testing, and code quality- Experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar)2. Production Software Development Experience- 5+ years building and shipping production software products- Experience with scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architectures- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)- Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems- DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and production operations3. AI/ML Hands-On Experience- Practical experience building AI/ML systems in production (not just research)- Experience with LLMs, NLP, computer vision, or multi-modal AI- Understanding of model deployment, optimization, and production ML- Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)- Ability to translate AI research into production code4. Startup/Product Mindset- Experience in startups or fast-paced product environments- Comfortable with uncertainty, rapid iteration, and resource constraints- Ability to balance perfection with speed (ship fast, iterate)- Product-focused (build what customers need, not what's technically perfect)- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and doing hands-on development5.
