Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and tech-savvy Social Media Intern/IT Support to join our restaurant team. This role is designed for a passionate individual who wants to enhance their skills in digital marketing and IT support while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate is a team player with a keen eye for detail, a love for storytelling, and the technical aptitude to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Responsibilities
• Assist in creating and scheduling captivating content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
• Capture and edit photos and videos of restaurant activities, menu items, and special events.
• Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and reviews promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative marketing ideas, campaigns, and promotions.
• Monitor social media analytics to track performance and suggest improvements.
• Stay updated on trends in social media and the hospitality industry to enhance engagement.
IT Responsibilities:
• Provide basic IT support for restaurant operations, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Assist with managing the restaurant’s website, ensuring menus, promotions, and updates are current.
• Support the team in implementing and maintaining digital reservation and POS systems.
• Help ensure data security and backup systems are functioning efficiently.
• Offer technical support during events or digital marketing campaigns.
Qualifications and Skills
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, IT, Communications, or a related field.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
• Basic skills in photo and video editing (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of IT systems, software, and troubleshooting basics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for food, hospitality, and creative storytelling.
Salary: 120,000 - 150,000 naira
