Senior Process Engineer Full-time Job

Senior Process Engineer – Oslo (Contract)Location: Oslo, NorwayContract Type: 6-month initial contract (with scope for extension)Start Date: January 2026Leap29 are partnering with a leading engineering company in Oslo who are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role will support key oil & gas and energy transition projects, with involvement from concept through to detailed engineering.Responsibilities:Deliver process engineering work across all project phasesDevelop and review PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and control philosophiesPerform process simulations and calculations (HYSYS / Unisim / Aspen Plus)Specify and size major process equipmentEnsure compliance with NORSOK, ISO, and international standardsContribute to HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA reviewsSupport coordination with other engineering disciplinesProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineersRequirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Process EngineeringMinimum 10 years’ process design experience in oil & gas or energy sectorsStrong technical knowledge of process simulation and modelling toolsFamiliarity with Norwegian standards and offshore project executionExcellent communication skills in English (Norwegian beneficial)Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary environmentDetails:Location: Oslo (hybrid flexibility available)Duration: 6 months, with extension potentialRate: Competitive, depending on experienceIf you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply with your updated CV or contact Thomas Williams at Leap29 for a confidential discussion.
