Nordex Oceania Pty Ltd As part of our growth, we are looking for a Senior Grid Engineer to lead technical interactions with clients, grid operators, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with the Australian grid code and the electrical stability of our wind energy projects.
Your Tasks
Analyze and Prepare grid code requirements, comment on AEMO Western Powerand TransPower grid code rules changes
Create the tests procedures for the grid code test requirements as basis for gridcode approvals
Analyze the grid code compliance with Power System Engineering Software
Support Clients and Consultants through the grid connection application processand assist with the negotiation of generator performance standards, and finalconnection agreement
Represent the Nordex Grid Code solutions in front of utilities and customers
Check, comment on grid connection requirements in Contracts
Follow up the compliance of Nordex existing wind farms during operation
Conduct and report on power quality assessments on WTG and wind farm PoCto ensure compliance to Australian Standards, Generator PerformanceStandards and connection agreements
Provide scope of works and specifications for any reactive plant to be installedon projects to ensure compliance with connection agreement
Assist in the development of scope of works and interface requirements forenergy hub projects (wind, solar battery)
YOUR PROFILE:
Experience in grid integration roles preferably within renewable sector
1-3 Years of experience in power system studies ideally within the NEM
Experience working with electrical simulation software - PSCAD experience is amust, PSSE in addition would be advantageous
Electrical Engineering Degree with a focus on Power System Engineering orControl System Engineering
Experience with Power Systems Analysis software: Digsilent/Powerfactory,PSCAD and or Siemens PSSE
